Week 2 Concept Development

We decided to focus on the GPS aspect of Roadie so that it could be used by anyone, not specific to any type of person.

The user/driver can choose which map view they feel more comfortable with, between a camera view with a overlay of a green line/arrows or the usual top down view that shows the route as a whole.

We wanted to concentrate on having safety features as an integrated part of the app. So that when the accelerometer on the phone is above a certain speed then the app is locked to one of the two map views so that the user cannot fiddle around with it, causing crashes.

We wanted the user to be able to to switch between the two map views using the least dangerous way, and we came to the realisation that using a wave to the left or right will be the easiest and least distracting way to achieve this.
